Idea

The idea was to create a panoramic wall featuring a sequence of phantasmagoric characters associated with the creative agency — conveying creativity, expression, originality, strength, and self-confidence.

During the sketching process, we decided to focus on semi-human creatures with animal heads. The first outlines were straightforward and quite harsh, so the Naked Fetish Woman, David Bowie spitting wires, and Mr. Grey Alien were rejected. In the early versions, the wolf-dogs had iMac monitors instead of heads and wires instead of brushes. The rabbit was holding a retro-futuristic gun.

The plot was inspired by my favorite science-fiction novels, some fairy tales, and my own inner universe, of course.

Each creature was given a distinct quality: the Woman represents beauty; the Wolf, strength; the Octopus, creativity and originality; the Flying Girl, inspiration; the Rabbit, celebrity; the Turkey Cock, imagination; the Panda Man, premonition; the Spaceman, internationality; the Chameleon, adaptability; the Jellyfish, fluency; the Glitch Man, digital culture; the Wires Man, the World Wide Web; the Owl Guy, wisdom; and Doggy, being high.

Artwork Fragments

Working with chalk was as demanding as making a lithograph on a particular stone: you couldn’t touch the wall with your hand even for a moment, because the drawing would be smudged or damaged. It was especially difficult because of the many tiny details that had to stay crisp and sharp. Soft drawing materials — such as sanguine, sepia, chalk, and charcoal — are very particular and require a careful technique.
